We are and Australian owned family business, residing in the beautiful Sunshine Coast of Queensland. Our founder – Zac, has shared a passion for designing efficient and creative solutions to space for most of his life. Growing up in the shed with his dad and brother building cars, Zac learnt the importance of keeping an organised workspace during projects.
“After spending some 10+years in the construction industry I began to notice people like myself being priced out of owning or renting properties with enough space to follow our passions in the shed. Its this realisation, that got me thinking. How can I get the same function from a work space I was privileged to growing up, with a fraction of the space? This is where Uncle Storage was born.” – Founder, Zac Eyles.
After countless hours of research I stumbled across something called 'high density storage'. A style of storage that has been used for years in Libraries across the world. I loved the concept and got to work creating a version that could be used in the shed. (pictured first concept).
The ball was rolling... I knew it was time to build our first prototype. I enlisted the help of a draftsman and we got to work. Developing what is now over 300 individual components that make up our range. And from this, our first fully functioning prototype was born. (picture first prototype)
We are super proud of our systems, and truly believe they set the new benchmark for home or workshop storage. However, our job is not done yet.. We will continue to strive to solve more problems with future development of new accessories and systems.
